Twitter introduced Twitter Fleets recently. It’s, erm, interesting. Look, I don’t know about you, but I wholeheartedly believe that everyone has their preference of places to post their stories. If you’re a bit wild, you probably add to your Snapchat story most often. If you’re trying to flex a bit, share some knowledge, or send a fun post around, you’ll go with Instagram. If you’re sending out a signal for help, you’ll post something to your Facebook story. And finally, if you’re legitimately despondent, you might find yourself adding to your LinkedIn story. Yes, LinkedIn stories exist. At this point I wonder if MySpace has caught up.
I really just don’t see what Twitter can add for us in this entire mess of stories we have to keep track of already. Like, if I want to shit post to Twitter I’ll just do it. And if I realize I tweeted something silly, I’ll delete it later. It’s that simple. I cannot believe we have another feed cursed with the existence of stories. I honestly feel like the days when we only had Snapchat stories to scroll through were our prime as humanity. Not to mention, who has time to scroll through that many updates?
Maybe I’m just going on a wild first-world rant here, but tell me how you’re feeling about Twitter Fleets. Good? Bad? Ugly? Let me know.
